Tobias Arbo is the beautiful and poetic Indie Folk/Pop project of Stockholm-based songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Tobias Ekelund.
Capturing the sounds of Sufjan Stevens, José González and early days of Bon Iver, Arbo has a talent for creating a delicate world of magic. His music includes notable names such as Zach Hanson, producer behind acclaimed artists like Bon Iver, Owen, Sylvan Esso and Waxahatchee, and Linus & Hannes Hasselberg – the producer brothers behind Plasí, Moonica Mac, Melissa Horn, Cleo and others.
Arbo recently signed a record deal with Made Records; an alternative pop label challenging the industry's old and dusty ways since 2018, operating in the UK, Germany and Scandinavia. Tobias is currently finishing up his new awaited album, expected to drop in 2024, which will follow up the debut EP 'Powerlines', released in March 2023 via London-based label CRC Records.
The debut received a warm welcome, featuring Arbo in publications like CLASH (UK), Americana (UK), PSL, SVT (Swedish National TV), GAFFA (Scandinavia's leading entertainment magazine), Bands of Tomorrow (DK), Nöjesguiden (SE) and more.
Apart from his solo project, Tobias is a songwriter and has co-written the single debut by the new hyped Indie Rock/Pop band Girl Scout. titled 'Do You Remember Sally Moore?' amongst others. He has played live on acclaimed venues across Stockholm, like Debaser – Bar Brooklyn, Södra Teatern, Vassa Eggen Stage and Reimersholme Hotel.
